Dr. Albert H. Chao, MD, is the Acting Chair and Professor of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Ohio State University. He previously served as Program Director of the Microsurgery Fellowship for over a decade as well as Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs. Dr. Chao is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, has lectured and trained surgeons nationally and internationally, serves on the Editorial Board for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, and performs charitable work in underserved communities including in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
