Dr. Albert H. Chao, MD, is a Professor of Plastic Surgery and Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Ohio State University. He was Program Director of the Microsurgery Fellowship for over a decade and the first Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Dr. Chao is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, has lectured and trained surgeons nationally and internationally, serves on the Editorial Board for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, and performs charitable work in underserved communities including in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
